Chinese bridal crown
This crown was inspired by the traditional crown of the empress, the Chao guan. It is an impressive construction, full of symbolic significance. The phoenix, the mythological bird which arises from the fire, was a much-used symbol: additional symbols included the blossom of the plum tree as a symbol of feminine innocence, and the red colour of the carnelian and the coral, as symbolic of good luck and wealth.
