What are the opening hours?

We are open every day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, including weekends. 

Is it possible to order entrance tickets before I come to the museum?

Yes. With the “Book Now” button at the bottom of the page, you can purchase your tickets immediately for any given date. 

Is it necessary to print my e-ticket?

No. It is also possible to show your e-ticket(s) on your mobile device at the reception.

What is the entrance fee for children and students?

Children from age 13 to 18 and students can enter the museum at a reduced rate of €10,00. Children from age 0 to 12 can enter for free but need adult supervision. 

Can I visit the museum with a group?

Yes. However, we strongly advice to book your tickets in advance.

Do I have to queue with a museum card?

Every visitor needs to enter through the checkout, therefore. If there is a queue, you need to wait in line. However, we always try to make sure to keep the waiting line at a minimum.

In addition to a cloakroom, does the museum also have lockers?

There are lockers in the cloakroom. Usage of the cloakroom is at own risk.

Can I store my luggage (trolley, weekend bag) in the wardrobe?

Yes, but the cloakroom is not supervised. Therefore, usage of it is at own risk. 

What are the opening hours of the museum shop?

The opening hours of the museum shop are the same as the museum. The shop is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Is there an audio tour available, and in which languages?

There is no audio tour. However, several collections have audio devices. For these collection, audio is available in Dutch and English.

What is there to do in the museum for children?

There is a scavenger hunt for childeren. The diamond mascotte Sparkly helps children to learn about diamonds in a fun and interactive way with a scavenger hunt. You can buy this scavenger hunt for €2,- at the checkout of the Diamond Museum.

What can I bring to the museum?

Electronic devices are obligated, as are small (hand)bags. Please, do not bring large (back)packs, food or drinks inside.

I am looking for press material, where can I find it?

You can find press material in our press folder.

Is it allowed to take photos and/or film in the museum?

Yes, but without flash.

Is the museum accessible to wheelchairs and strollers?

The museum is located in a monumental building. Unfortunately it is not possible to enter the museum by wheelchair. However, we do have a small elevator that can (only) be used together with one of our staff members. If you have difficulties walking, please let us know in advance so we can arrange assistance.

Can I visit the museum with a visual impairment?

Yes. We advice you to call us in advance so we can assist you. 

Can I bring a guide dog inside?

Unfortunately, dogs and other (service) pets are not allowed inside. However, It is possible to book assistance in advance.

How can I book educational programs and educational materials?

You can find a lot of educational material on our website at the page “education”. If you request more information, please send and email to info@diamondmuseum.com.

How can I book a tour and how can I pay for this?

You can book a tour online with the “Book Now” button. You can pay online or buy a ticket at the checkout of the museum. 

I am looking for information about diamonds, the diamond industry and its history for a paper/thesis. Where can I find that?

You can find a lot of information at the “Education” page.
